We want to provide you with the latest information from our vendor regarding the outage currently impacting the Illovo area. Their technicians are on-site and working to resolve the issue.
Incident Details:
Cause: Damage caused by the Municipality Water Department. Six cables are currently submerged in water and soil.
Impacted Routes: Arbour (Amanzimtoti) and LA Prospection Node.
Resources Deployed: The vendor has dispatched 3 teams to the site.
Current Repair Status
The vendor's repair teams are currently undertaking the following work:
Civil & Fibre Work: Repairing damaged ducts, floating new cables, and splicing the lines to create new joints.
Estimated Time of Repair (ETR):Pending. We are awaiting confirmation from the vendor on when these repairs will be completed.
We are closely monitoring our vendor's progress and will pass along further updates as soon as they provide us with a confirmed ETR.
