  <title>Illovo - Fiber Outage - Vendor Issue</title>

Apr 8, 00:45:00 GMT+0 - Identified - We want to provide you with the latest information from our vendor regarding the outage currently impacting the Illovo area. Their technicians are on-site and working to resolve the issue.

  
**Incident Details:**

* **Cause:** Damage caused by the Municipality Water Department. Six cables are currently submerged in water and soil.
* **Impacted Routes:** Arbour (Amanzimtoti) and LA Prospection Node.
* **Resources Deployed:** The vendor has dispatched 3 teams to the site.

### Current Repair Status

The vendor&#039;s repair teams are currently undertaking the following work:

* **Civil &amp; Fibre Work:** Repairing damaged ducts, floating new cables, and splicing the lines to create new joints.
* **Estimated Time of Repair (ETR):**Pending. We are awaiting confirmation from the vendor on when these repairs will be completed.

We are closely monitoring our vendor&#039;s progress and will pass along further updates as soon as they provide us with a confirmed ETR.
